About the event
We have selected the date of April 22 (rain date April 29) from 8:00 a.m. – until whenever. GAENA will provide the advertising in the Aiken Standard & online, ribbons to mark your participation, and the maps. All you need to do is some seasonal cleaning! If you live within the city limits, you must obtain a City permit from the Aiken Standard ($5.00 fee). Let’s hope for good weather on the 22nd.
If you are a City Resident and member, GAENA will reimburse you for the permit — just save your receipt. Reply to gaena.info@gmail.com to sign up. Last day to sign up and be placed on the map is Tuesday April 18th.
Pass the information on to your neighbors — you need not be a GAENA member to participate. For those who can’t stand yard sale traffic, this is also a heads up! We ask that all participants respect city ordinances (i.e. Sales do not begin until 8:00 a.m., follow noise restrictions, etc). We also ask that there be no “early bird” previews/sales – this makes it quite unfair for those who are adhering to the guidelines.
